Girl's Torque
Mustang Owners Club of Victoria breast cancer Awareness Day
Together with the Australian Women's Motorsport Network (AWMN) and Girl's Torque, the Mustang Club of Victoria hosted a breast cancer awareness day and fundraiser on Sunday 3rd October 2010, at Calder Park. The event was proudly supported by EXEDY. Over 140 vehicles were entered into the test 'n' tune off street legal drag races and 40 Mustangs were on display. The pits drew a huge crowd and one lucky raffle winner walked away with a brand new EXEDY Sports Tuff clutch kit. All proceeds from the fundraiser were donated to Breast Cancer Network Australia.

Girl's Torque was established in Australia in 2001 to support the growing number of women in motorsport and the automotive industry. Since its inception, Girl's Torque has grown enormously and now has a large support base, of both women and men.
Offering comprehensive motorsport training for women, with a strong focus on building drag racing skills, the Girl's Torque programs are run by AWMN volunteers. Expert coaching is provided by female instructors who are themselves experienced competitors.
Training days are geared towards females of varying skill level and the programs offer a fun and safe environment in which to learn from scratch or to build on existing skills and experience. Promotional models are not the only women in motorsport! Sign up for a Girl's Torque traning session in your capital city today.
