Torque converter production reaches 100 million units!

EXEDY Group have succeeded in producing 100 million units of our torque converters for use in automatic transmission (AT) vehicles.

In 1958, EXEDY Corporation set its sights on expanding into AT vehicles and began its development of torque converters. In 1973, EXEDY began the mass production of torque converters for use in automobiles. Currently, with six production facilities in five countries, EXEDY is producing about 8,500,000 units per year, and its parts for AT vehicles, including torque converters, make up over 60% of its consolidated sales.
