Big results for EXEDY at WTAC and MotoGP

Levi Clarke and the EXEDY Drift Team finished in the top 3 at the World Time Attack's Outlaw Drift event in Sydney this weekend.

Held over 3 days at the Sydney Motorsport Park it was smoke, speed and ear-splitting sounds all the way. The Hi-Tec Outlaw Drift competition was the highlight of the event with 18 hand-picked top level drifters chosen to battle it out against each other to pick Australia’s most powerful drift machines with the most daring, aggressive and skillful drivers behind their wheels.

The EXEDY Drift Team Nissan Silvia S15 is fitted with EXEDY Hyper twin plate multistage clutch kit GT04XD delivering a whooping 1,330kg of clamp load and up to 690Nm of torque. Levi was pitted against his arch rival Josh Boettcher for one of the early drift rounds titled “The Lone Rangers”.

This was a ultimate showdown of man and machine. At the end of the weekend however, they both had to make do with third place on the Outlaw Drift podium.

Big finish for Jorge Lorenzo

The action begun at the Pramac Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix as soon as the lights flashed green, triggering a grueling 27 laps at the Philip Island track. The race came down to last lap and it was a nail biting race between Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea Lannone and Valentine Rossi.

Rossi fought with tooth and claw against Andrea and Marc as they attempted to close down Jorge Lorenzo. This was one of the closest and most intense battles the MotoGP™ World Championship has seen in recent years.

In the end Marc Marquez took line honors followed by Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Lannone. Rossi settled for fourth but he still leads the standings with 295 points followed by Jorge with 285 points, so the EXEDY supplied factory Yamaha team remains 1 - 2 in the Championship standings.

To top it off, this weekend's result was enough to earn the Yamaha team their 37th Manufacturers title.
